Q + A

What is the dress code for the wedding day?

The wedding day is a formal evening event, black tie optional. Dust off your long dresses and tuxedos or suit and tie! For the ladies, please avoid all whites, creams, nudes, champagnes, and silvers. Need inspiration? See below!

What is the dress code for the Welcome Party?

The Welcome Party will be summer cocktail attire. Please keep the weather in mind as this is both an indoor and outdoor event. Ladies, please refrain from wearing white and cream. Note that the outdoor portion will be partly on turf so we recommend ladies wear flats, wedges, or a block heel.

Will there be food at the Welcome Party?

There will be desserts and an open bar. Please eat dinner beforehand.

Can we bring our kids?

This is an adults only weekend. Due to capacity, no exceptions will be made. We encourage you to take this time to connect with your spouse and celebrate McCall and Walker's marriage in an adults only environment.

Can we take photos during the ceremony?

No. Please have all phones, smartwatches, cameras, and any noise emitting devices turned off during the ceremony and speeches. Walker and McCall have hired an excellent photographer and videographer and will be happy to share media with guests. Please allow them to enjoy this special day without the distraction of cellphones.

What airport should I fly into?

Chattanooga (CHA) has a municipal airport that is about a 15 minute drive to downtown. Birmingham (BHM), Nashville (BNA), and Atlanta (ATL) are around a two-hour drive to Chattanooga. If you fly into Nashville, please note that this is the same weekend as CMA Fest.

How do I get to the Welcome Party and Private Concert on Friday and the Ceremony and Reception on Saturday?

Please see the Travel tab for shuttle information. For the convenience and safety of our guests, we have contracted with Nooga Shuttles to provide a complimentary shuttle service both to and from the events on both evenings. We strongly encourage guests to use the shuttle service due to the distance and to avoid getting lost as the venue is in a rural and remote area that is dark at night and the roads have difficult hairpin turns. If you plan to consume alcohol, our shuttle will be your only option. Security will be on site and part of their role is to ensure there is no drinking and driving. The shuttles will be picking-up at the Read House, the Hampton Inn & Suites, and the McLemore Resort, but dropping off at all five of the recommended properties. Guests who chose to stay at the Edwin should travel to the Hampton Inn & Suites for shuttle departure, while guests staying at the Kinley should travel to the Read House for shuttle departure. Departure times will be communicated upon RSVP confirmation.

Are rideshares an option?

While you may be able to find an Uber or Lyft to drop you at the venue, they will not pick-up in Trenton, so our shuttle service is your best option.

What is the appropriate footwear at this venue?

While outside, guests will be standing on concrete pavers as well as fine, hard-packed gravel. Thin heels will not sink, but there could be some instability. Former brides and bridesmaids at this venue have not reported any discomfort or issues.

Can I smoke at the venue?

No. The venue has a strict no smoking/vaping policy and has a $500 fine for each violation. Please help us avoid any damage fees. Note: there will be a cigar and whiskey bar. That will be outside and has been pre-approved with the venue under the strict premise that no other smoking device be utilized and that all cigars remain in this designated area.

Will this be an indoor or outdoor event?

Both! The Welcome Party will be a free flowing event inside and out. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors, weather permitting while the reception will be indoors.

Who is singing at the Welcome Party?

James Otto has been called The Biggest Voice in Country Music. His textured, sometimes raspy vocals are delivered with passion and plenty of soul. Otto blends that soulful voice with great storytelling and a smooth, funky groove to create his signature Country Soul sound. Otto rose to prominence when he signed with Warner Bros. and released the album Sunset Man. His breakthrough hit, "Just Got Started Lovin' You," went to the top of the charts as a 2-week #1 song and became the "most played country song of the year." Otto also received a Grammy Nomination for "Best Male Country Vocal Performance" of the song. The hit's popularity has endured, as it’s on the list of Billboard's 100 Greatest Country Songs, confirming it as one of the most played songs in the history of country radio. As one of Nashville’s most compelling songwriters, he co-wrote Jamey Johnson’s career-defining hit, “In Color," and for that song, Otto again received a Grammy nod, but this time as a songwriter for "Best Country Song." “In Color” brought further recognition, as he took home awards for both the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Academy’s “Song of the Year.” Later, Otto co-penned "Somethin' 'Bout a Boat" for Jimmy Buffett. He also co-wrote “No Hurry” which soared to the top of the charts for the Zac Brown Band. Additionally, Otto has collaborated on songs for artists: Randy Houser, Chris Janson, Darius Rucker, Trace Adkins, Josh Kiser, John Rich, John Anderson, Randy Owen, the supergroup Alabama and many more.
His highly anticipated new album Self Made Fool is slated for release this year.
